Federal Judge Tells Justice Dept they Cannot Prosecute Medical Marijuana Patients…Again
A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that the Justice Department cannot prosecute medical marijuana businesses if those businesses are in compliance with applicable state laws. The court had been asked to rule on whether the Justice Department had proper authority to press forward with federal drug charges in 10 cases involving medical marijuana dispensaries and growers in California and Washington state. FDA Hypocritically Approves New Synthetic Cannabis
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a new synthetic marijuana. The liquid formulation of dronabinol — a synthetic form of the psychoactive compound in cannabis: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), was officially approved a few weeks ago. Allegedly, the synthetic cannabis will be sold under the name of Syndros and is classified Schedule III substance under the Controlled Substances Act. San Francisco is Home to the Most Pot Smokers in the US
The Bay Area just reached the highest place in a recently compiled list of America’s highest cities. According to a government health organization, San Francisco is home to the greatest number of cannabis smokers in the Nation. Former California Prison Becoming Marijuana Grow Facility
A former California inmate facility has been approved as the location for a cannabis growing and processing operation. Last Thursday the Coalinga City Council voted on two local measures regarding marijuana, both of which have passed. The first measure, which passed in a 4-1 vote, allows compliant cannabis cultivation within city limits – effective immediately.
